You might think that this gifset is pointless but it features Lee Pace’s profile view and should therefore be considered a blessing on your dashboard
"One fun fact I learned while on the air with Keith Olbermann was that humans on the Internet are scumbags. People say children are cruel, but I was never made fun of as a child or an adult. Suddenly, my disability on the world wide web is fair game. I would look at clips online and see comments like, "Yo, why’s she tweakin?" "Yo, is she retarded?" And my favorite, "Poor Gumby-mouth terrorist. What does she suffer from? We should really pray for her." One commenter even suggested that I add my disability to my credits: screenwriter, comedian, palsy."

this is SO IMPORTANT I AM YELLING
my grandfather fought hydra back in the day. the good guys won then, we’ll do it again.
I manage to turn everything into crap wow
yes that’s called digestion
I feel the need to also mention in regards to that ridiculous post I just reblogged with comment: the one article linked about the man who is cured of HIV is detrimental to the OP’s point.
If they had actually READ the article they’d see that a) the man’s procedure would cost the average person over $250k, b) has a very high chance to kill the patient, and c) would only be performed under life threatening circumstances.
You see, he got a bone marrow/stem cell transplant (different articles about him mention each) to cure his leukaemia. His donor wasn’t a 100% match because he needed a donor with CCR5 receptor mutations as he wanted to also take the chance to attempt to cute his HIV. It was a miracle he survived the incredibly risky procedure. No trace of HIV and his cancer was gone. But a year later his cancer came back and with the exact same procedure he almost died. He was left with neurological damage and he now gets to live out his life as an incredibly frail man who can barely walk.
Two other patients – both with HIV and leukaemia – underwent marrow transplants from donors with CCR5 receptor mutations. Both died.
There is no viable cure for the average human suffering from HIV.
Please just stop spreading false and unsubstantiated hope.
Source. This is a real thing. It’s happening.
This is HUGE news, and of course no one is talking about it because it is not a part of popular culture. For the first time in the history of the world, there is a possible preventative cure for one of the most deadliest viral diseases to have entered the human gene pool. There is hope for those who have been diagnosed with a disease that may have given them only 20 or so years to live. This breakthrough in the science/pharmaceutical community means that other viral diseases and genetic mutations that were once incurable are now on the table for complete eradication. I’m absolutely seething that no one is talking about this on the news 24/7.
and while this is hella important, herpes is getting complex to the point there is no cure or no way to work with it.
I really need both of these to go viral.
So I guess no one has done their research on this subject.
Stop getting all riled up about a “cure” that isn’t getting media attention because OH MY GOD NO ONE CARES LOL RACISM/SEXISM/OTHER MORONIC EXCUSES!!!
Shits not cured. A 4 year old US girl was thought to be cured and was off the meds for TWO YEARS and now there are traces of HIV back in her system. New cases of “cured” babies are not being widely covered because of this relapse. Do your research before losing your shit, Tumblr.
